Lingusitics I was wondering how English letters are standardized

Probably because you are wasting your time. There is no standard. There are standard FONTS that are in wide-spread use, but that's the best you are going to do. Letters just evolved from squiggles, like people from fish, and like people, there is no standard.

Have you done any research on this?

Stargazing Dark matter and its effect on the orbit of stars

Do you seriously think none of this has been thought of by the thousands of cosmologists who have thought about this stuff over many years? Have you done any research on this or is this just some random idea you've come up with?

B Why do capacitors not discharge everything immediately in LC circuits?

And doesn't that answer your question?

B Why do capacitors not discharge everything immediately in LC circuits?

In order for a cap to discharge immediately, it would have to dump a lot of current into the circuit. What does an inductor do when you try to pump a lot of current into it immediately?

    The Jet Pak is Real

Well, nearly is not entirely, but yeah, very expensive for the likely practical benefit.

How long is the longest piece of the given Rope?

That's what it sounds like to me but I'll bet it's not what is always intended.

How long is the longest piece of the given Rope?

Well, for me it was strictly a careless reading. The phrase itself is quite clear, I think.

    The Jet Pak is Real

Wozers. The jet pack has been around for a decade or two at least but these look like new improved versions and I've never seen one used for ship to ship transfer. Very clever, although you'd think the bad guys would have to be deaf not to hear that something's going on. EDIT: I see it' been a...

How long is the longest piece of the given Rope?

Yes, and you're missing the point. The segments are, as I specifically said, in the ratio of 1, 2 ,4. if you insist on making that 1, 1/2, 1/4, you STILL have exactly the same ratio between the segments (1, 2, 4). I'm just making the math easier. Your way requires a unit of 1/4 for the first...

How long is the longest piece of the given Rope?

Huh? From the problem description, it seems that you have rope segments of 1, 2, and 4, adding up to 7 units so each segments is its number of unites times 95/7 making the longest one 4*95/7. How is that not right?
