Why are you a physicist?

I direct this question towards those that are working physicists. What drew you to physics in the first place? When you wake up each morning do you ever dread going to work? Are you proud of yourself for what you have accomplished in regards to your education? Do you consider what you do just a career or is it something you truly love?

Curiosity is my motivation to get started with my education. Hopefully I will not end up like the cat.
