In summary, a new member is interested in learning about quantum physics. Quantum physics is a branch of physics that studies the behavior of matter and energy on a very small scale, such as atoms and subatomic particles. It is a complex and fascinating field that has led to significant advancements in technology and our understanding of the universe. The new member may benefit from exploring topics such as quantum mechanics, quantum computing, and quantum entanglement to gain a deeper understanding of this intriguing subject.

How did you find PF?
Google search of a quote about abstract algebra and topology
Graduate of MIT (1972) and Ph.D. from Cornell, 1979. Quantum physics courses always left me with the feeling that some sort of sleight-of-hand was involved in converting wave functions to probabilities of observation, always wanted to further investigate these issues, but spent my life until now doing plasma physics, and electrical engineering.

Now (mostly) retired, kids (mostly) grown up, and wanting (and having time) to get back into quantum physics.
