I had thought about lecturing, but I don't want to have to compete with the hundreds of graduates that are thinking the same thing.

I'm thinking about a MPhys in Theoretical Physics (could switch to straight if it'll increase my employability) at either UCL or University Of Manchester. Incidentally if anyone has info about the courses at either uni, that would be appreciated.

So yeah, the ones that spring to mind are: Teaching, Engineering, Research, Science Journalism, Finance etc.

Does anybody know of any of these that are particularly well paid, or particularly enjoyable?

Anybody with any better suggestions?

Let me know

Peace

-Christie

.One option you might consider is data science, which can be quite lucrative depending on your experience and skills. It involves analyzing large datasets to gain insights and create predictive models. You could also look into software engineering, which involves programming and developing software applications. Both of these fields require an understanding of mathematics and physics, so if those are your strong suits, this may be a good fit for you. Additionally, you could research career paths that involve using your physics knowledge in less traditional ways, such as patent law or consulting.
