The Science and Math Textbooks forum has been of great help to perhaps every member of PF. Why not rename it so that it would aptly describe the realm of the forum?
"Textbooks" mostly (though not always) refer to books prescribed under a course or by an educational institution. But the forum also entails "Reference" books, which are considered to be out-of-syllabus books recommended for further reading and to increase the boundaries of knowledge.
Moreover, the forum also has threads where research papers are recommended, which does not form a part of either Textbooks or Reference books.
Hence, I feel it would be best if the name of the forum is changed to Science and Math Resource Recommendations. In this way, it would rightly describe everything - textbooks, reference books and other resources like research papers. Resources would mean all types of study material necessary for learning science and math.
A thread may be pinned at the top of the forum, making it clear what Resources would mean.
Please feel free to put in your thoughts about why you support / don't support this suggestion.
Looking forward to the input of @Greg Bernhardt and other mentors.
