What insights can be gained from reading Maxwell's Treatise at 63 years old?

Have just joined this Forum. Finally, at the 63th year of my life, have begun reading Maxwell's treatises. Have read some parts of Faraday's notebooks as Maxwell suggests.

In 1999, I spent a whole year reading most of Newton's Principia (in English and Latin). Made some interesting discoveries.
