Member advised to use the provided formatting template when starting a new thread in a homework forum.
When we calculate the work done by a force applied on an object (suppose force and movement are in the same direction and a constant force) do we take into account the relative distance ot the absolute distance.
When saying relative distance i mean if the object is moving on top of a platform that is also in motion (not same velocity).
Sorry if my explanation is unclear, I can upload a picture to try to explain it a bit better. It may be a stupid question and sorry if I shouldn't post it here, this is my first post.
