Ah, yeah! I can't sleep when I'm too tired and I just don't feel tired after an hour or more! Sounds like the problem is, being too tired.Gale said:i'm not asleep, still up. I'm not even tired any more... its awful...
Yes it does.Lisa! said:shhh... she's asleep now!
(Darn! we always have to speak loudly since size=1 doesn't work anymore.)
Gale said:yep! i tossed and turned for about an hour, but finally nodded off. i accidently woke up at around 8am, but went back to bed and slept for a good 10 hours. only bad thing is that its a gorgeous day and I've missed most of it! awell, i'll go play some frisbee and it'll all be good.

Nothing is so sublimely beautiful as your love sleeping. It is the single source of all other joy and comfort in the world.Gale said:haha, well thanks... don't know what's cute about sleeping all day, but maybe i should do that more often.
Of course she does! She might have trouble sleeping, but I can never sleep. When I get weary from my many studies and discoveries I can't sleep it off. I must press on and on without respite. Oh dear god, how I wish I could sleep!Mk said:He means you got it a whole lot better than he does right now.

Well said.loseyourname said:Indeed, the peaceful serenity of a sleeping partner beats the grating wail of a whiney hag any day.
You sleep?!Mk said:I just woke up! And ate fried fish and beans!
So you sleep from 5 am to 2pm and then wonder why you can't fall asleep at 11 pm?Gale said:yep! i tossed and turned for about an hour, but finally nodded off. i accidently woke up at around 8am, but went back to bed and slept for a good 10 hours. only bad thing is that its a gorgeous day and I've missed most of it! awell, i'll go play some frisbee and it'll all be good.

Gale said:i don't know really. I've had mild insomnia even when i was real young. i think maybe my body just isn't made to be sleeping all night and active all day. when it gets dark out that's when i feel the best. my mind feels sharp and i have all sorts of energy. unfortunately, its usually too late to accomplish very much, but if i could take classes at 3am, i'd bet i'd be much more into them.
The most common causes of insomnia include stress, anxiety, depression, poor sleep habits, and certain medical conditions or medications. Lifestyle factors such as caffeine and alcohol consumption, irregular sleep schedules, and excessive screen time can also contribute to difficulty falling or staying asleep.
Improving sleep hygiene involves establishing a consistent sleep schedule, creating a comfortable sleep environment, avoiding caffeine and heavy meals close to bedtime, and engaging in relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation. It is also important to limit screen time before bed and to avoid using electronic devices in bed.
Some natural remedies that may help improve sleep include herbal supplements such as valerian root, chamomile, and melatonin. Relaxation techniques such as yoga, aromatherapy, and acupuncture have also shown to be effective in promoting better sleep. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional before trying any natural remedies.
Regular exercise can improve sleep quality by reducing stress and anxiety, promoting relaxation, and regulating the body's sleep-wake cycle. However, it is important to avoid exercising too close to bedtime as it can increase alertness and make it difficult to fall asleep.
If you have been experiencing consistent difficulty sleeping for more than a few weeks and it is affecting your daily life, it is recommended to seek professional help. A healthcare professional can help identify the underlying cause of your sleep problems and develop a personalized treatment plan to improve your sleep.
