Applying to Graduate School for Engineering: What are the Expectations?

In summary, the conversation discusses the speaker's current academic pursuits as an undergraduate engineering student and their interest in applying to graduate school. They express uncertainty about being able to apply to top schools like MIT or Berkeley and inquire about the expectations and experiences of others who have applied to graduate school. They also mention a previous post in the wrong sub-forum that needs to be moved.

Currently, I am a in the undergraduate engineering program at NCSU, pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. I just completed my sophomore year. I was wondering what sort of things are expected of undergraduates who are applying to graduate school.

Of course, I would love to be able to apply to high end schools such as MIT or Berkeley, but I doubt that will happen. Either way, I was wondering what sort of experience you guys had with applying to graduate school, and what sort of expectations different qualities of universities have.

Thanks!
