Demo'ing the basement of my 88 year old house. Uncovered these planks.

Any ideas what 'iron', 'slots' 'throw' might be related to?

Not sure if it's related but - the entire basement is clad in planks that were once used in the Goodyear rubber plant that formed the industry here in New Toronto.
