What is with you people? Why do you think that the Earth can only sustain 14 billion people when all 6 billion people can be comfortably fit into the land mass of TEXAS?
FACE IT, The environment is far too big for any group of humans to make a difference. NAME ONE ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER THAT WAS STOPPED BY MAN. We are completely at the mercy of the environment.
The only reason to buy a fuel efficient vehicle is to save money when you fill up. Those cars are pug-fugly, however.
Wuliheron--If you did not notice, America LITERALLY makes the world turn. America is an economic capital, military ub3rpower and a cultural capital. Therefore, America will create a lot of garbage, but look at the rest of the world. Most of the rest of the world is not exactly an oasis.
You say that we need a lifestyle change. Should we live more like the happy North Koreans or maybe the Clean Chinese? Screw it, LET'S JUST REVERT TO AN AGRARIAN ECONOMY! LOL
Also, I think that you are quoting Ghandi out of context. Ghandi was about ending the british occupation of India. What he probably meant was adopt a "live and let live" policy.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in the grand scheme of things. It is important to remember that change starts with individuals, and each person's efforts can contribute to a larger collective impact.
There are many areas in which individuals can make contributions, such as volunteering, fundraising, advocating for change, and making sustainable lifestyle choices. It is important to identify your strengths and interests to determine where you can make the most impact.
To ensure that your contributions are effective, it is important to research and educate yourself on the issue or cause you are passionate about. This will help you make informed decisions and avoid unintentionally causing harm or perpetuating the problem.
Both time and money can be valuable contributions, and the best way to contribute will depend on the specific situation. For example, if you have a particular skill or expertise, donating your time and knowledge may be more impactful than a financial donation. However, if an organization or cause requires financial support, donating money may be the most effective way to contribute.
Lead by example and share your passion and knowledge about the cause or issue you are contributing to. You can also involve others by organizing events or activities, starting conversations, and spreading awareness through social media and other platforms. Remember that small actions can inspire others to also make a difference.
