What is space-time singularity?
How it formed...?
Is singularity possible..?
How it formed...?
Is singularity possible..?
"singularity" means "the place where our math models break down and we don't know WHAT is happening". They are "physical" because there is something there, but not something that we understand. For example, the center of a black hole is a "singularity" but we have no idea what's really there. Maybe when we get a theory of Quantum Gravity we'll have a better understanding.Mohan Nivas said:What is space-time singularity?

Time is not a physical quantity na...?
Time is just a measure of interval between occurring event..
Then how it meets with space...?
A space-time singularity is a point in space and time where the laws of physics break down and traditional concepts of time and space no longer apply. It is often associated with black holes, where the gravitational pull is so strong that it warps the fabric of space-time.
A space-time singularity is formed when a massive star collapses under its own gravity. As the star's core collapses, it becomes infinitely dense and small, creating a point of infinite density and space-time curvature.
Currently, it is not possible to directly observe a space-time singularity as it is hidden behind the event horizon of a black hole. However, scientists can observe the effects of a space-time singularity, such as the gravitational pull on surrounding objects.
While space-time singularities are commonly associated with black holes, they can also exist in other scenarios such as the Big Bang. In the early stages of the universe, it is believed that a singularity existed, leading to the rapid expansion of the universe.
Currently, there is no known way to travel through a space-time singularity. The intense gravitational forces and extreme conditions make it impossible for any known form of matter to survive. However, some theories suggest that advanced civilizations may one day discover a way to navigate through space-time singularities.
