In summary, it is possible for a self-taught mathematician to master quantum physics at 55 years old. While it may be more challenging than learning at a younger age or with formal education, determination and dedication can lead to a thorough understanding of the subject. With access to resources such as textbooks, online courses, and peer-reviewed articles, a self-taught mathematician can acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the field of quantum physics.

I'm Bob, nickname freeb from high school. 55 years old, B.S. in MIS long ago. Semi-retired, interested in quantum physics. Learning my maths on my own, seems I forgot a lot. Doing college algebra and calculus I simultaneously via web videos and textbooks. Not rushing anything, going to take my time, just have some ideas, and I need to relearn the math and newly learn the physics behind them to see if there's any there, there. I'll be in and out, thanks for the opportunity to be part of your community!
