According to the Standard Model of Physics a proton should never decay, but what would happen if it did? Read More: How the death of one tiny particle could ...
A nice explanation, but they should have asked a particle physicist to proof-read it.
- we found deviations from the Standard Model. Neutrino mixing.
- the Standard Model has a process that violates baryon and lepton number. It doesn't make free protons decay, but the claim they make is wrong.
- An electron has just half an eV? It is half a million eV.

This is always the problem with popsci videos. The presenters and supporting staff are there to entertain using the knowledge they’ve learned in school some years earlier to an audience that are not scientists. Hence they miss the cutting edge discoveries unless they too are popularized.

These points are not cutting edge discoveries. All these things were known before they went to school, and two of them before they were born.
