How Do You Solve Complex Polynomial Long Division Problems?

thats pretty much what I came up with , not sure though with it all being a remainder like that.. that's half the reason I thought my answer was wrong

Dividing Polynomials: Solving Average Speed Questions in x+60 Miles Per Hour

If a car travels at a distance of x^3+60x^2+x+60 miles at an average speed of x+60 miles per hour, how long does the trip take?? not sure how to solve this problem either, Its in the whole chapter of dividing polynomials, so I tried dividing .. it all just basically said that it was a...

How Do You Solve Complex Polynomial Long Division Problems?

I did that much, but then the tricky part is when I add it in what's left after eliminating the x6 and x5 I get .. 7x^4-8x^3+3x^2+0x +5 dont know what to do from there.. do I have to multiply the 3x^4 by some sort of fraction to get it to equal to 7 to cancel out..

How Long Does It Take for a Bullet Fired Upward to Fall Back Down?

so I factored out -16t and got (t - 75) so I get 75, so I guess the answer is 75, as in 75 seconds till the bullet comes back down?? I guess that seems realistic. seems like this would be more involved with physics, like including gravity..PS THANKS FOR THE HELP

How Long Does It Take for a Bullet Fired Upward to Fall Back Down?

this seems more like a physics word problem, I am not even sure how to set this problem up to use it as a polynomial. "A person holds a pistol straight upward and fires. The initial velocity of most bullets is around 1200 ft/sec. The hieght of the bullet is a function of time and is...

How Do You Solve Complex Polynomial Long Division Problems?

Divide the polynomials by using long division. (-9x^6+7x^4-2x^3+5)/(3x^4-2x+1) When I attempted it I started by pulling using 3x^2 . multiplied that by the (3x^4-2x+1) and from there I had to use a fraction of 7/3 or something and then couldn't divide into x cubed. If anyone can...
