"Studying" in a decent engineering program hardly means the same thing as other majors. In an engineering class you have homework, quizzes, tests, and projects even in the theory courses. This is much different than math or physics courses which is homework and tests. And the homework grade % is...
Homework Statement
v1 is a sine wave with amplitude ±10V and the diodes are ideal. Vo is 3V. My question is: will iB always 0?
The Attempt at a Solution
D1 will only be shorted when v1 < 0, which means that the voltage at Va would be from 0 to -10V and D2 would act as an open. Is that...
I didn't read all of your post but I saw this. One of my friends was a field service engineer (EE) and he got to travel a lot and was always doing more hands-on tasks for his job. He was rarely in the office and if he was it wasn't more than a day or two. Maybe look into that. Good luck.
Yeah, you're correct in that assumption. I feel like I'm missing out on proofs but I know it's not my end goal. I'll check out those books, thanks.
Also, robphy, I'll check out that article when I get back to school so it's free, hopefully. Thanks for the reply.
I have noticed that I have the "tired brain" happen lately also. For me, I think I have pinpointed it to a shifting sleep schedule. If I can go to sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time, 10pm-5:30am I always feel alert throughout the day. Although, if I shift those times even about...
I've recently come to the conclusion that I might have made some mistakes along the way. I'm going into my senior year of EE and something just doesn't feel right about my abilities. Over the last couple semesters, I've fallen into the "plug and chug" mode of solving problems. I have some issues...
Learn one of two of the courses now. If I were you, and I had no programming experience I would try to tie in Calc 1 and programming. If you have programming experience do Calc 1 and Physics 1. I'm assuming you have about 2 months left before these classes begin, start now.
I really don't understand why people post things like this. One of my friends recently got an internship at a "big time" financial firm coincidentally as an analyst. I was curious as to what degrees they were looking for because I might try that route one day too. All the interns and coworkers...
That's a scary situation. Professor X will be able to steal any knowledge he wants from you already. Unless you're wearing a helmet equipped with technologies to block his mind probing. Good luck.
You can't be serious.. 3 different PhD's?? Doesn't each one take 4-7 years?? Considering this person took a calc class 3 times that already put them behind 3 semesters. Minimum age would be 33 finishing all of this, max would be 40. Did this person do post-docs too?
I would use LTSpice and punch in some simple circuits to start. After you get a feel for the simple ones start adding components slowly and guessing what might happen next. It's a wonderful tool to learn circuits. How many components are in the circuits you're expected to analyze?
