Arctic I think he is referring to the theoretical possibility of parallel dimensions basically. And that all of them basically exist overlayn each other. Kind of like ethereal realms or what have you. They all exist next to each other you just can't see them.
There was a special on pbs...
sol2... you sure thrown whatever you want in. I just noticed another thread about teleportation and people saying they weren't sure they would use it, scared about the destroyed/recreation concepts so i thought id make a thread reguarding that. Also tryn to find a way to debate about some of...
It just seems odd to me that with religous people so concerned with evolution vs vreationism, that there would be views of such dependence on the physical realm.
i think he's thinking a wheel basically.. with like tank track treds all around it. each side of the treds would have an opposing charge. basically the same idea as that little solar glass thingy with the white n black sided diamonds. except instead of dark n light it would be + & -. and...
darkbob well as far as i understand it, gravity 'doesnt' hold electrons to protons, etc. there's some kind of sub-atomic bond by their charges or whatever that is causing them to stay together. so wether he's right or wrong it wouldn't matter.
Either way this still doesn't really describe what happened before 'the' big bang. it just implies that another one occurred at some point in time. atleast with the multiverse theory they explain branes touching each other or what not as the cause of the bangs themselves.
Lets assume that it is technically feasible to copy every quanti of the human body and arrange them in perfect harmony.
Was hoping to get a debate going as to why so many people are *shrugging* at the concept of teleportation. Mainly the idea that because an original is destroyed somehow were...
lol it doesn't matter.. and that's how this whole post is redundant. this is more of a english class thread then philosophy or physics cus were just getting cought up in 2 dif definitions of the same thing...
its like either its nothing or its something. this is a boolean (true or false)...
Until we achieve faster then light travel i don't think anyone is going to bother exploring jack.
Long space travel just isn't feasible or even worth it because by the time the people got there we probably would have devised a faster method and overtaken their wasted journey anyways.
Maybe...
You can't get "something" from nothing.. that's how its logical.
Even in physics with quantum mechanics and things popping in an out of existence, the only reason (as far as i understand for a layman anyways) that that's happening is from an incomplete theory, not because things are...
Oh no i doubt doubt that linux is available I am just concerned with how much is being done to make it 'usable'.
The whole scream use to be, 'Yes, finally something other then windows' and now were left wondering if linux will ever amount to much for games, etc.
Your lucky to even find an...
