I don't really know what your saying. When Quantum field theory says that an electron is a excitation in the electron field, what does that mean? Does that mean that it is a quanta of the field or a particle of the field... what does excitation of the field mean?

In string theory/M theory, there are two types of strings, open and closed strings. What kind of strings are fermions(electrons, quarks) made out of? Closed or open strings?

In copenhagen interpretation, the electron literally has no location prior to measurement. This is an example of an anti realist interpretation.

Sorry if I might be asking repetitive questions. But in all Ψ ontic interpretations of qm where the wave function is real( MWI, de brig lie, penrose, etc), they physically do not extend to infinity?
