i'm trying to model the combustion of a pressurized gas (nitrous oxide) inside of a paraffin ring. What I'm trying to figure out is the amount of paraffin that will be burning per unit time. What I'm assuming is that the gas is totally covering the inside of the wax ring and Ideal Gas law. I'm...

Well this question I've had since high school (first year mech), how would i calculate escape velocity of a gas if i know volume, diameter of the hole, pressure, temprature and mass.
Very practical actually
you don't need a space suit for this, people go to everest with just oxygen masks (~1/3 the pressure on the surface at 0m).
I recommend doing research on thermal materials (emergency foil blanket is a good place to start) and Scuba systems as well as CO2 scrubbing...
A while give it 10-20 ish years for full scale practical deployment ( as in personnel transportation) , We have a long ways to go before we explore mars, infact i believe it would be a better idea to start on the moon and start working on a way to utilize he-3 as fule
Well i know this sounds silly but I think that impellers on the sides of a yoyo would give greater stability than the current hollow ones.( Just to give you an idea of the type of yoyo's I'm talking about: http://shop.yoyoexpert.com/product/162/Juggernaut ). I haven't started a cad model as I...
