I don't take notes, and I never ever mark a book. I used to create mind maps while I was reading a subject, but I don't anymore, it just takes too much time. I see tons of people pretty much taking notes copying the text verbatim from the book, but what's the point? Books often have a summary...

Sometimes when I am really frustrated because I can't solve a problem or I am indecisive about something, a voice pops up and gives me the answer... and he is usually right... It's the same voice that calms me down during panic attacks... Maybe I am crazy after all... ;^P

Thanks for your answer. So, If I understood it correctly, water slows down freezing because of its high specific heat, H fond release energy when they form(iff temperature drops) and they absorb energy when they break(iff temperature increases), right? I still have problems understanding it...

Doesn't condensation imply a change from a gas to a liquid? Were the nucleotides gases when the phosphodiester bond formed? Were the amino acids gases when the peptide bond formed?

I have thought of two possible explanations: a) Energy required to break H bonds = Energy released when H bonds form. There is a "constant" equilibrium in the system, meaning, some water molecules form H bonds, releasing energy to the environment which causes other water molecules to loose...
