I know it wasn't ET. What did I see?

Perhaps. My understanding is that lenticular clouds are normally associated with mountains, which we don't have in that region, but maybe ... What I saw was about 45° off the horizon, and perfectly circular from my perspective. I've never seen photo of a LC that looked like that. Also, the...

I know it wasn't ET. What did I see?

When I was a kid, sometime between 1965, and say, 1969, I saw a thing in the sky. It was a large, pink cloud, with a diameter of two to three times the moon, which became more purple over time. It was completely circular, with clear edge delineation. Later, bright lights approached and circled...

Is Forgetting Names and Quotes a Sign of Poor General Knowledge?

I pretty sure it was a joke you didn't get, based on a homonym-style pun referencing "heir" sounding like "hair." Jokes are SO much funnier when they have to be explained ...

20 Questions: An Intelligence-Testing Game of Yes/No Questions

First game: Someone asked, "is it a tv?" This game: I kinda thought it was a joke, like, a recurring question asked way to early? In case it's not, optimal strategy for this game seems to me to be to wait until you can't think of anything else to offer a specific item. Or, if you're on q20...

What's your favorite movie ending of all time? With a TWIST

I caught that too. Before those, even, you could tell there was something off about how the staff and his partner were treating him. I haven't see that movie, but your comments kind of made me rethink my position on The Sixth Sense. After the twist ending, I had to watch it again, to see it...

20 Questions: An Intelligence-Testing Game of Yes/No Questions

I think Lisa knows that we're not ready to start guessing specifics. She was a questioner last game.

What's your favorite movie ending of all time? With a TWIST

If I remember correctly, there was a typewriter that proved that Jeff Bridges dunnit? And you see it in the closing shot? Or maybe that's some other movie entirely. Speaking of other things entirely, I suggest we dump the ratings. As has been pointed out, this thread has become about plot twist...

20 Questions: An Intelligence-Testing Game of Yes/No Questions

I believe the first question is allowed to be "animal, vegetable, or mineral?" so, which? Edit: if any.

What's your favorite movie ending of all time? With a TWIST

Well, when I started the thread, I wasn't really thinking of movies with a plot twist. I was more thinking of movies that seem different to me now than upon first viewing, because I'D changed. Putting "TWIST" in the thread title probably did not help with that, though.

20 Questions: An Intelligence-Testing Game of Yes/No Questions

Holy Poopsicle! ROFL! In my case, it's a character name from a Jack Vance novel. BTW, if Lisa doesn't start a topic, I will. Except, now it can't be a Traz :(

Am I the only one who finds this absolutely hilarious

Yes, but now, when you're taking a nice, relaxing bubble-bath, you can think of roaches. (What has two thumbs and likes cockroaches? Not THIS guy!)

Am I the only one who finds this absolutely hilarious

She's going to really like you for that one. Also, you owe me for a new monitor, to replace the one I just smashed in order to kill that frakking roach.
