In the current form of PF...

The staff is comprised of "admins, super mentors, & advisors".

"Contributors" are those wonderful members who donate $$$ to keep PF running.

The "gurus" are the winners of our annual member voting events.

Other ranks you may see in the archives have gone extinct (mentors became super mentors, experts became advisors, etc.).

Gotta love a member like Moonbear who is a guru, contributor, AND an advisor!

 It's only been there about 9 months, and you're just noticing?

Next time we do guru awards, I think we need a category for "Least Observant Member."

Oh yeah? Well you just don't know how many people hate my guts because of that. Why, the number is almost approaching that of Tom's!

[runs away screaming in horror]

Zz.

P.S. Y'know, someone must have laced my gingerale with those silly pills.

One can find a complete listing of PF's administrators, mentors, advisors, and homework helpers in the Forum Leaders section. (There is a link to this page near the bottom of the main PF index, just above the "What's Going On" section.) The section titled "Science Savvy" lists the forum science advisors.

FAQ: What Are the Different Ranks in PF's System?

What are the other ranks in PF besides admins, super mentors, and contributors?

There are a few other ranks in PF (or "Player's Forum") besides admins, super mentors, and contributors. These include moderators, moderators-in-training, and regular members.

How do you become an admin in PF?

To become an admin in PF, you must be nominated by a current admin and go through a selection process. Admins are chosen based on their contributions to the forum and their ability to uphold the forum's rules and values.

What are the responsibilities of a super mentor in PF?

Super mentors in PF are responsible for guiding and assisting new members, as well as providing support and advice to other members. They also help enforce the forum's rules and maintain a positive and welcoming community.

Can regular members become super mentors or contributors?

Regular members can become super mentors or contributors by actively participating in the forum and demonstrating their knowledge and expertise in a specific topic. However, these ranks are usually given by nomination and selection by the forum's administrators.

Are there any perks or benefits of being a contributor in PF?

As a contributor, you may have access to exclusive resources and information, as well as the opportunity to showcase your work and collaborate with other contributors. However, the main benefit is being recognized for your contributions to the forum and being a valuable member of the community.
