I was checking the NIST site with their Hydrocarbon line database
search utility, and the frequencies of the lines for CH, CH2, and CH4
are on the order of 10^11 Hz approximately. That leads to wavelengths
that are much larger than the visible region. Am I reading the search
results...
I read that Thor's helmet (NGC 2359) is in a pre-supernova stage, but there is an emissions nebula around it. How this possible if the star is hasn't gone supernova?
I am currently trying to incorporate the sensing of tool wear as part of my research, which is an investigation into an experimental manufacturing process that is probably most similar to milling. I have already been making use of force data, but would like to utilize acoustic data as well...
I hear many who believe that AGW is caused primarily by CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
I also hear from others that water vapor covers the same wave length in absorbtion. With more than 90% of the greenhouse gases being water vapor, what is the basis for the case concerning the influence of CO2.
I've just been working on some of the basics of radioactive emissions. I checked my answers in the back of the book and was so supried at what I found. I just want to clear some of these signs. charges and and relative mass.
Gamma ^1_1\gamma
Neutron^1_1n
I thought that gamma emission had no...

I think this might be an easy one but I am stucked right now and would really appreciate some help.
How much mas is produced under a year by a nuclear power plant that gives 1,0 GW.
Edit: ok seems like i made the newbie mistake to post this in the wrong forum, please forgive me moderator...
Have these papers been discused.

Greenhouse Effect Could Cause a Space Problem
Always focusing on the negative.
Actually, the positive benefit (have to reboost the satellite less often) is limited to only a few satellites, while the increasing...
A while ago I bought some novelty keyrings which contained tritium powered lamps.
The marketing information mentioned that the beta particles would be contained by the acrylic shell of the keyring. A not unreasonable claim given the low energy of the tritium beta emission, and lack of...

If quasars are at the cosmological distances suggested by their redshifts, can they conspire to be polarized similarly with respect to their line-of-sight angle to the Earth? If the universe is homogeneous and isotropic, these...
Quasars are known to be the highly luminous neclei at the centre of the galaxy at large red shifts and they emit energy trillions times more than that of sun in form of gamma rays and other radiations.
May I know what are the other radiations?...What are the various ways in which celestial...
Are sine waves the waves that are theoretically deemed to be the waves [naturally] emitted by all matter? Or am I getting them confused with something else?
