The NBA Finals is the annual championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The team that wins the series is awarded the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, which replaced the Walter A. Brown Trophy in 1983.
The series was initially known as the BAA Finals prior to the 1949–50 season when the Basketball Association of America (BAA) merged with the National Basketball League (NBL) to form the NBA. The competition oversaw further name changes to NBA World Championship Series from 1950 to 1985, as well as a brief stint as the Showdown, before settling on NBA Finals in 1986. Since 2018, it has been officially known as the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV for sponsorship reasons. The NBA Finals was initially structured in a 2–2–1–1–1 format. In 1985, to ease the amount of cross-country travel, it was changed to a 2–3–2 format, where the first two and last two games of the series were played at the arena of the team who earned home-court advantage by having the better record during the regular season. In 2014, the 2–2–1–1–1 format was restored. This team hosts the first two games and the other team hosts the next two games. If needed, the remaining three are played at each team's home arena alternately.A total of 19 franchises have won the NBA Finals, with the Los Angeles Lakers winning in 2020. The Lakers and the Boston Celtics hold the record for the most victories, having both won the competition 17 times. The Boston Celtics also won the most consecutive titles, winning eight in a row from 1959 to 1966. The Los Angeles Lakers have contested the NBA Finals the most times, with 32 appearances. The Eastern Conference has provided the most champions, with 38 wins from 10 franchises; the Western Conference has 34, from 9 franchises.

First off, thank you for all of the help this semester. I'm sure you'll be seeing questions from me in the spring also. Here is how I'm thinking about this problem:
1. Using the...
1. Find 2nd degree maclaurin polynomial that approximates f(x)=sec(x)
2. Find 3rd degree Taylor polynomial that approximates f(x)=(2/x) at c=1
3. Find radius of convergence of power series n=0 to infinity: ((2n)!*x^(2n))/(n!)
4. Find interval of convergence of power series n=1 to infinity...
Alright so I know that I am thinking far into the future here but I think it is necessary. I am a freshman in college and I am a physics major but my grades are poor. My first semester I got 2 C's(physics and math) because I did not study a lot. This semester I'm doing better, I'll get an A in...
Hi everyone,
I haven't been successful in Discrete Math this semester. I have finished all of the calculus I-III series and I did very well. I want to know if anyone can give me some tips on how to study for my final coming up in a few days.
Now, I understand that is a vague question but I am...
Can someone explain how to determine if a compound has a dipole moment and how to determine how big or small it is (possibly numerical value)? I have a final tomorrow and I've looked this up on multiple website and cannot find any good explanation.
< Mentor Note -- thread moved from General Math to the Homework Help forums >Hi all,
Calc II finals is 4-5 weeks away...We're on Taylor Series right now, but I wanted to get started early on studying for the final. I have a few questions that are confusing me that I took from a final exam I saw...
Do you base it on difficulty of the class or a percentage of the actual class cost?
Typically I do 15% of the course registration fee, but I would like to know what's the acceptable standard.

A ball of mass m and radius r (Icm = 2mr^2 /5) is released from rest, and rolls without slipping down a ramp.
(a) Draw a free body force diagram for the ball. [Hint: careful—there has to be friction. (Why?) Further, it is static friction, and not kinetic friction...
I've been a pretty good student all my life, been in honors classes, AP classes and what not, gotten A's and B's without putting much effort in. I'd read over something once and remember enough of it to get by, but now that I'm in college I'm starting to realize it isn't quite enough anymore. So...
This story is right in so many ways I can't stand it.
Reducing stress before an exam has been proven to help students, focus and concentrate, resulting in better grades. Using puppies to do so is a stroke of genius, IMHO. What a cute bunch...
Rhody... o:)
I imagine there are at least a few other people watching this, here.
No poll because predictions seem pointless without context, but who do you think wins (and why)?
It really pains me to say it (I've been a Mavericks fan since Finley-Nash-Nowitzki), but I think the Heat will win. Here are my...

My professor warned us that a few proofs will be on the finals. This could be one of them.
However, we did a proof in class where he listed out a bunch of terms and then did an inequality to say it is divergent.
I personally hated that long proof. I don't want to...

Well I tried doing 412 = (1025)(9.8)h.. Divide by 10045 (9.8 x 1025). And ended up getting .041..
I found out that I need to use 412 x 105 for the pressure which I have no idea why.
Any help...
I just took my final exam in Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering. I could go on describing how horrible/well it went, but a certain question has caused major disagreement.

Hello,
How much time do you average per course (Math and Physics) for your final exams? Let's say you have 8 consecutive days with nothing else to do than study(However, you could decide to do whatever you want, leisure, work, socializing...), how would you organize your time?

Can anyone share some good methods to study for the finals(college).
Do you think it is better to study alone or with classmates?

I have a final coming soon in Chemistry, and it is going to be comprehensive. I am really nervous about it, and I am not sure of a good study strategy. I know I can't read the entire book in a week, so I was hoping someone might have a good study plan for a comprehensive exam.
Thanks in advance
just out of curiosity, has anyone ever received good marks on their final exams by cramming all the material you learned for the class for two days?
I crammed once for a calculus class, and its no walk in the park I tell ya.
Hi everybody. My physics final is right around the corner and i was just wondering if there was any good way to help prepare and study. Physics isn't the easiet subjects for me, i tend to over think problems and get myself all nervous. Please let me know if there are any problem solving...
Ok so finals are over for me. I know I got an A in macro-econ, A in Calulus, and an A in Chem II. There is just one class I am worried about, calc-physics. I always did my homework, got a B on the first test, and an A on the second exam. The problem was I think I choked on the final.

I had two finals today, Geography and Mechanics of Materials. I knew before hand that I had a 90% in geography, which means I need nothing less than a 90% to keep my grade. I studied for that more than my materials class. I knew...ehhhhhhhhh...more or less 70% of it. The remaining 20% fairly...
