Antony Garrett Lisi (born January 24, 1968), known as Garrett Lisi, is an American theoretical physicist. Lisi works as an independent researcher without an academic position. He is a proponent of balance between scientific research and enjoyment of the outdoors.Lisi is known for "An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything," a paper proposing a unified field theory based on the E8 Lie group, combining particle physics with Einstein's theory of gravitation. The theory is incomplete and has unresolved problems. The theory has been extensively criticized in the scientific community.
There is a Theoretical Physicist by the name of Garret Lisi. He gave a ted Talk on one of his unified physics theories that received a lot of attention. The reason why I am bringing him up is because he left academia after he finished his phd and moved to Maui. During his time there he found...
Hi :)
Does the 'inner space' and 'inner particle physics' which Mr. Lisi refers to in his TED Talk at Maui in 2013 refer to the 8 dimensional maximal tori within E8 and how they function?

Thanks.
I know there is nothing around, that I could find. I checked his tweeter and page and found nothing. So, do any of you know of anything ? https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/interview-theoretical-physicist-garrett-lisi/
Garrett Lisi, the skill level of physicists, & multiverse/holographic theories
Okay, so after 2 times of firefox crashing and me loosing my whole 1 hour long versions of my topic
(2 hours wasted fyi lol) here it is in the express version.
Two questions. Both have to do with Garrett Lisi...
A friend of mine bought me the E8 t-shirt that Garrett Lisi has listed on his site. When I wear it, I feel that I can solve anything. lol
Anybody else got one?
Matt
What do you know about the current status of Garrett's TOE gambit?
Has anyone been checking his website? Any news?
Has anyone seen the article about Garrett in the 21 July issue of the New Yorker magazine?
A deepset culture bias says that too much limelight destroys scholars. The tradition goes back to monastery roots or even earlier. We expect scholars to withdraw to a quiet place: labor in the scriptorium and meditate in the monastery garden.
I know (my culture prepares me to expect) that...

and why steps toward unification (like Garrett's) look the way the do.
