A "Hello, World!" program generally is a computer program that outputs or displays the message "Hello, World!". Such a program is very simple in most programming languages, and is often used to illustrate the basic syntax of a programming language. It is often the first program written by people learning to code. It can also be used as a sanity test to make sure that a computer language is correctly installed, and that the operator understands how to use it.
Hi everyone. my name is Antony and I really love science.
I am here to learn and share my learning but I would like to learn first.
I decided to join this forum because I am studying electrical engineering and I would like to know more about this field in a world and abroad point of view.
Hello everyone, I am new here and in my every day life I usually have plenty of questions but not so much answers. You guessed it right, I am here precisely to seek these answers because it seems I will always find here someone to think about my questions and, hopefully, help me to increase my...
Hello there!

Hoping to answer and ask many questions. :)
Hi, I have just joined Physics Forums,
I graduated in chemistry in the UK back in 2003, although I am interested in all scientific disciplines and like to expand my knowledge.
I work in the oil industry, and frequently have to call upon physics and mathematical knowledge in order to perform...
I am currently a grade 10th student stuying in Germany. I was never interested in science subjects such as Math, Physics or Chemistry, until I heard about Einstein's theories and the book " A brief history of time" by Stephen Hawking. Now I have a totally different view about those subjects I...
Hello everyone :)
Been reading your forum for a couple of years as a visitor and decided to take this opportunity to thank everbody for there exceptional intellect and insights. I have been a science fan since a child, but lack the formal education to pursue such vocations. Most of my knowledge...

I...
Well, I have become interested in physics and its relationship to philosophy and the mystery of the human conscienceness. I am 17 years old and love to learn new things for myself. I am becoming quite the self-educator lately and I am beginning to learn more about math and science than I ever...

I'm very new to this. I know that to find the angle between two vectors we use the dot product, but what about finding the angle between a vector and each of it's axes?
for example:
A = 3i+2j+k,
How can I employ the dot product when there is no other vector?
Thanks and keep posting!
