Did Max Tegmark talk about his Mathematical Universe hypothesis at this event (https://www.zimbio.com/photos/Brian+Cox/Michio+Kaku/rAcvFyE88Ul/World+Science+Festival)? And if that's the case, what was the opinion of Michio Kaku?
Michio Kaku and Lawrence Krauss are both well-renowned physicists who propose that the universe (or universes) was generated out of nothing.
Krauss, in his book "A Universe from Nothing" argued that the universe was probably created by a primordial "nothingness" with no space and time and...
Michio Kaku is one of my favorite physicists and lecturers but recently he seems to diverge and speaks of topics much hated by the PF community. See (where he is interviewed):
"Sep. 20, 2019 - 3:49 - The Navy admits that several UFO videos are real and show aerial phenomena that they can't...
So, I've been inspired by shows like Fringe, games like Deus Ex and Halo, and movies like Robo Cop, The Machine, Eva, and Blade Runner.
My interests would fall into the categories of things like neuroscience, biological engineering, nanotechnology, bionics, AI, body-computer interfaces, etc.--...
How i want to combine 4 physical forces in the universe into one equation like michio kaku do . What should i do and what i need ? how i want to prove my theory ? if succesfull how i want to show to the world ?
Sorry I'm newbie
"This is Your Brain on a Laser Beam"
Around the middle of the video he starts talking about shooting consciousness on a laser beam into the heavens. What would be the point of that? I finished watching the video and I'm like "WTF is this guy talking about?"
As a Physics ignoramus, I'm curious. This guy was recently on The Daily Show: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-february-25-2014/michio-kaku. Talks about how we'll be able to upload (download?) memories to our brain. If you type his name into Youtube, you'll see that he has tons of highly...
Answer? They do it by scaring the hell out of us with what Michio Kaku has perfected as the 6 second scare soundbyte (6SSS). How's that for an alliteration? If you really pay attention to these shows, you can see how the producers coach our friends to "really bring it home to the lay viewer...
I watched a video of Michio Kaku saying that according the Einstein's equations of black holes, physics literally breaks down into nothing. I just wanted to ask how accurate the things he says are.
For example he states that the mass of the black hole being M and R describes the distance from...
Dr. Kaku is an eloquent speaker for Physics and he publicized sciences and raise global awareness of controversial issues on science (like nuclear weapons, global warming, etc.) I am not questioning the validity of his popularity.
I am just curious, what has he done on the theoretical side...
Hi, I've bought PW recently and began reading it just yesterday. I have felt some doubts while reading it, since I haven't had any physics since I left high school and that has been a long time ago. Also, all this astrophysics always a tad mind-boggling to me. So far I have 2 sets of questions...
i was reading kaku's book beyond einstein and he kept talking about the beginning of string theory and we all know that susskind was instrumental in its foundation back in 70 yet kaku never mentioned him. he had numerous times to mention susskind but never did throughout the whole book.
I'm currently a Freshman in college, Astrophysics major.
So I'm new to physics.
I see Michio Kaku on the news channels, and his videos all over youtube. Is he like the HEAD physicist of this era? Or is he just the most popular? OR is he just another regular physicists?
Hi everyone,
I was looking on Amazon for books about wormholes, black holes, time travel, Einsteins equations about the 4th dimension, the future (the way physicians see it) and other (pseudo)scientific myths / mysteries.
I found that Michio Kaku wrote several books on the subject but I...
This is my first post on this forum, I apologize in advance if I placed this in the wrong location.
My question is this:
I'm watching the Science Channel tonight, and on an episode of Sci Fi Science, Dr. Michio Kaku suggests that if you heat space up to say, a couple trillion degrees...
Kaku is famous for promoting string/M-theory in a variety of books from hyperspace to physics of impossible, to name a few. He also popularizes string theory in radio and sci-fi documentaries.
He was asked what he thought of loop quantum gravity:
Antimatter
How much closer are we at this...
Whats your opinion on Michio kaku? He seems like a pretty smart guy. He recently made a new book Physics of the impossible,
Of course all these scientific principals seem far fetched, but it's very interesting to read. I have read parts of the book, specfiically on time travel. He puts the book...
I hear him speak and I can't help but think this man is full of nonsense, almost a crackpot, I might say. What surprises me is how deep he can go into his strange, absurd world - a real comedian. Does anyone in the scientific community give him any sort of real credence, anyways? I'm curious.
well, this might sound like a stupid question. i just wanted to know how to pronounce the name Michio Kaku. is the 'ch' pronounced as the 'ch' in 'chair' or 'champaigne'? and how is 'kaku' pronounced? thanks in advance.
Michio Kaku??
Question: How was this guy connected to PF -I've seen his name around this site?
Reason: He was in a brief segment of ABC's 2020 last night. The theme of the show was about different theories on the Acopolypse and how it might happen. Instead of a scientific and logical...
I have obtained a copy of this book and I am having a very difficult time understanding it. My problems start at the bottom of page 38 and continue through the middle of page 41. For instance:
The last thing on page 38 is a definition of a scalar field in terms of an equation. The first thing...
Since I cannot post on the Michio Kaku forum, I will post this here (or a MOD could move where its more appropriate), can anybody post a link or tell me what Kaku's guesses were at how might hyperdimensional life might be like or look like (eg. will they even be physical?, will they have mass...
Theoretical Physicist Dr. Michio Kaku is launching a new monthly publication and we need your insight.
Visit MKaku.org, fill out the questionnaire, and receive a free issue when the publication debuts. You might also win a signed copy of his latest book, Parallel Worlds.
