TI-83 problem...Secant Graphs
Homework Statement
What are the properties of:
y= 2 sec(-2x + 90deg) + 3
Homework Equations
sec (x) = (1/cos (x))
The Attempt at a Solution
I have a problem with finding the Domain of y= 2 sec(-2x + 180deg) + 3.
First of all, I have to put the...
This is probably an ignorant question...but why when I attempt to calculate .001 to the 100th power on my TI-83 does it give me an answer of zero? Is the calculator assuming that the answer is so close to zero that it is negligible? If so, that's probably not the accuracy I'm looking for.
i got a ti-83 calculator, is there any way to put in a number and get the factors listed for me? like put in the number 200 and get it to return 1x200,2x100 and so on...
if not is there any program out there to enter into the calculator to make that happen
thanks
It's not really a problem. It's not really a Lounge Problem and I'm assuming the Engineering students etc have encountered this and have a quick simple answer so...here it is:
I have a Ti-83. It's the old, crappy one, but in it I have a very important program. Well 3 very important programs...
I just got the caluclator and I love it.
Someone told there is a way to save formulas and all you have to do is enter the number and it will work it for you.
Do any of you guys know EXACTLY where I can get it?
My friend also has megaman on his, how do I get that?
I'm trying to program my 83 for Reimann sums and I believe I've got it now but to plug in for Y1= \sqrt{1+sin^3} how do I make the \sin^3 part because the parenthesis keep me from getting the ^3. I've tried the MATH button but it won't work that way.
Anyone know enough about TI-83s to help me out? For some reason whenever I try to graph a polar equation on mine it gives me what the graph should look like for radians when degrees is the mode of choice and vice versa. For example, if I were to graph sin(theta) I get a nice pretty circle when...
does anyone know how to solve definite integrals using a Ti-83 plus? my teacher said it's okay to use it to check your answer during a test, so if you know how, please let me know.
also, is it possible to do indefinite integrals using ti-83 plus calculator?
*Note: C7 refers to the TI-83 (Not Plus) but the procedure would be the same if we knew which cap on the Plus was to be replaced.
Well, I was just about to and KABLOOEY! My solder iron broke. If it didn't brake, all you need to do is replace the C7 capacitor to 15 pF to make it many times...
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this:
I have a TI-83+ SE. I have gotten the formula for the path of a projectile without air-resistance. It is:
y= ((Voy)/(Vox))X)-(g/(2(Vox^2)X^2)))
Now, I have a question. How do I program it to make it graph the parabola that I...
Anybody know how to use a table of numbers (in the stat -> edit place) to generate a log equation...?
can you explain this step by step for me?

this might sound like a total retard but oncei download a program for my ti-83+ how do i actually transfer it to my calculator. I know you have to also download the software and i did that but i don't know exactly how to use it. can someone please tell me.
does anybody know of any place where i can download a solver program for the ti-83/ti-83+ like the one on the ti-86. My former Ap-chem teacher has asked me to find a solver program for the ti-83 because everybody is using them now that the ti-86 is out of production. I just need a program that...
I've been trying to learn asm for the TI-83+ for the last month or so. I've read a bunch of tutorials, and at some point they all say to send the program to the calculator and then type "Send(9prgmNAME" (in my case, TEST) in either the home screen or a new BASIC program to run it. I had no...
I need the software for Windows XP to write programs that can be sent to my TI-83plus Calc (it has a little TI keypad and you can type the program on the computer instead of on the calc itself). I have an old version of it called Winlink83. It doesn't work anymore, however. I bought a link...
