In summary, the conversation is about advanced posting features, specifically how to post a link without using the entire original web page's address. The suggested method is to use the ["/"url] code and highlight the desired text, or use the create link icon in advanced-edit mode.

I was wondering if anyone has made a thread describing some of the more advanced posting features such as:

Posting a link without haveing to use the entire original web page's address.

I guess that example is the primary one that I am wondering about, but I figured there might be others that someone else has already explained.

Thank you

Thank you, I have been wondering how to do that.

In advanced-edit mode, you could also highlight the text that you want to become the link. Then click the https://www.physicsforums.com/Nexus/editor/createlink.png" icon and follow the ensuing URL prompt.

Some of the advanced features of posting on a forum include the ability to format text, embed media, use emojis, and add attachments.

How can I format my text in a post?

Most forums have a toolbar with formatting options such as bold, italics, and bullet points. You can also manually use HTML tags to format your text.

Can I embed media in my post?
