In summary, the person is an international student studying mechanical engineering in India and is interested in pursuing a degree in astrophysics. However, they are considering graduating in astronautics instead due to the requirement of a physics degree for astrophysics. They are seeking information on the best universities offering scholarships for international students in astronautics, as well as the required GPA and GRE scores. They also inquire about the best schools for astrophysics under the same conditions.

hey guys,
I'm an international student studying mechanical engineering in India for my undergrad. I wanted to graduate in astrophysics, but apparently I'll need a physics degree for that, and as I think its a bit to late to shift, I figure the closest thing would be graduation in astronautics. I was wondering what the best universities are for this degree. I know MIT offers an astronautics degree, but does it give scholarships to international students?. please do only give me the names of those universities that offer scholarships to international students as I'm not equipped to pay the entire tuition. Also, what kind of GPA would I be needing to get into one of these universities with scholarships? And what scores would I be needing on my GRE's? Thanks guys.....

I would recommend researching and considering universities that have strong programs in astronautics, such as MIT, Caltech, and the University of Texas at Austin. These universities have a history of producing successful graduates in the field of astronautics and have well-established research facilities and resources.

When it comes to scholarships for international students, it is always best to directly contact the university's financial aid office for specific information. However, many universities do offer scholarships and financial aid options for international students, so it is worth exploring those options.

In terms of GPA and GRE scores, it is important to research the specific requirements of each university you are interested in. Generally, a strong academic record and competitive test scores are necessary for admission to top graduate programs in astronautics. It is also important to highlight any relevant research or experience you have in the field of astronautics in your application.

Overall, my advice would be to thoroughly research and consider all of your options, and to contact the universities directly for more information on scholarships and admissions requirements. Best of luck in your academic pursuits!
