Bring What You Need to Escape a Deserted Island

In summary, the conversation revolves around discussing what item each person would bring to a cliched deserted island near the equator. Some suggest practical items, while others suggest more pleasurable things. The conversation also includes discussions about sharing items and the possibility of getting off the island. Eventually, the conversation turns to counting and playfully teasing each other.

What is the one thing (anything) you'd bring on a cliched deserted island near the equator with low elevation etc...?

I find people tend to think of amenities or pleasurable things/items.

I tend to think of ways to get off the island.

Ehh?

Satellite phone.

Well, if matthyaouw is bringing the sat phone, I think I'll bring an extra battery for it.

Oh, wait, if he's already there, then it's not a deserted island anymore, is it?

I'll bring a teleporter.

1. All the books that I wish to have read but haven't had the time.
2. How about magazine subscriptions? Strictly for the articles, of course, although pictures can't hurt.
3. Mailing supplies so I can write long letters to Moonbear. Mostly, invitations to a quiet small-island vacation near the equator.
4. A contract for an option to be lifted off the island on a specified day.

Oh, wait, I changed my mind. I'm bringing a sharp axe. Good for cracking open coconuts and heads (so I can steal everyone else's goodies).

You wouldn't need an axe to steal anything from me, Moonbear; I'd share willingly.

Although, the image is titillating. Will you have a dungeon?

Don't think you're going to trick me into sharing my axe with you though. I have no interest in those magazines you're getting though; perhaps we can add another title to the list for my benefit.

Sure, if they interest you. Though, if they do, you might already have some magazines I'd like to view. I better double check that list of what you've subscribed to.

Yeah, I always wanted to look at Popular Mechanics... with you.

Sports Illustrated. Mostly for their articles about tennis.

Pff, you guys are on this wonderful vacation at a deserted island and you want to leave? I would bring some beers, and some beautiful ladies, and we would party 24-7. Party on! Wooooo!

Three comes before four, darling.

I would take a friend with me. Or if he was busy, one of EnumaElish's dirty magazines.

Well, I wouldn't hold it against him. There isn't much to do on a deserted island. And by 'friend' I meant 'book', and by 'busy' I meant 'heavy'.

Well from what i remember,

Evo is a master cook, so you wouldn't go hungry.

Moonbear is good at diy, so just lay back and let the expert work

HRW, is just learning about screwdrivers, not sure if she can cook, but she could
tell you a good bed time storey

Gale17, has camping experience and may be a domestic goddess

Lisa, unknown, but could be trained i suppose.

Okay, being an educational site, let's help you with counting...
1) Evo
2) Moonbear
3) Gale17
4) Lisa!
5) HRW
That would be five.

Ahh hereinto lies the common misconception in females

Observe the male mathematics more carefully:

Evo or Moonbear, or Gale17, or Lisa! Or sexy HRW! Or all three!
Read:
1. Evo AND Moonbear
2. Gale17
3. Lisa AND HRW

You are welcome to them long as you'll let me read some of your books in return. Except the pink series.
