In summary, it is possible for a non-techie to succeed in the fields of science and engineering. While a strong foundation in technology can be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for success. With determination and a willingness to learn, individuals from various backgrounds can excel in these fields. Additionally, collaboration with tech-savvy colleagues and utilizing resources such as online tutorials and workshops can help bridge any knowledge gaps. Ultimately, a passion for science and engineering and a commitment to continuous learning can lead to success regardless of one's technical background.

Don't want to clog up this forum anymore than I will, but just wanted to say I'm thankful someone has created a forum such as this to address a lot of the elementary questions I feel bog down other areas of interest I visit.

I'm into tinkering and making things, and am educating myself in mechanical engineering, material science, and kinematics, etc.
