Can Engineers Be Physicists Too?

In summary, engineers can also be physicists, as both fields require a strong understanding of scientific principles, problem-solving skills, and a curiosity for how things work. Many engineers use physics concepts in their work, and some engineers even pursue advanced degrees in physics to further their knowledge and expertise. However, there are some key differences between the two fields, such as the focus on practical applications in engineering and the emphasis on theoretical research in physics. Ultimately, the skills and knowledge of an engineer can overlap with those of a physicist, making it possible for engineers to also excel in the field of physics.

I'm an engineer who wishes he was a physicist. I'll never be able to give up the design aspect and creativity of engineering, nor do I think that I have enough natural intuition to really be a great physicist or mathematician, but I love it anyways.
