AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the potential advantages of the private sector in understanding technology and physics, particularly regarding undiscovered scientific aspects that may be concealed due to confidentiality agreements or intellectual property protections. However, it is argued that both private and government sectors classify research, and neither is likely to possess superior knowledge of physics compared to the global scientific community. The consensus suggests that while private entities may excel in applying physics within specific fields, the collaborative nature of science is crucial for broader advancements.

Hey guys, I am wondering if its possible that the private sector could hold a better edge and understanding on technology and physics due to unknown or undiscovered aspects of science, that given the discovery of while working for a private enterprise could be concealed from the mainstream world by confidentiality or a copyright type scenario?

Why just private sector? Government classifies plenty of research.

I highly doubt any private sector (or government for that matter) entity has s better knowledge of physics than the world-wide scientific community. What I do expect is that many entities have greater knowledge of how to apply said physics in specific fields.
