AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a user unable to find an option on their profile page and seeking assistance after sending two emails to the PF staff without receiving a response. Suggestions include sending a private message to Greg Bernhardt, who is noted as attentive to member concerns despite being busy. It is emphasized that while account registration is confirmed, inactivity can lead to account dormancy. For users in the European Union, there is a right to request account deletion, but for others, deletion is at the discretion of the site administrator. The conversation highlights the importance of direct communication with site leadership for resolving account-related issues.

Cant' see an option on my profile page for this. Sent off two emails to the PF staff, but still no reply. Any clues?

Obviously your registration can't not have happened, but you can allow your account to slip into dormancy by not posting. I'm just a member here; not an authority ##-## I suggest that you should PM (private message conversation) @Greg Bernhardt and state your request ##-## I think that he's a very busy man, but it's been my experience that he 's very attentive to the concerns of every member on PF, so that before too long he would get around to addressing any issues you might raise. He is in charge here, and presumably he could delete your account, and also possibly any or all of your posts (at least those that haven't been quoted), but that might not be consistent with (carefully thought through) PF policy ##-## again obviously, you can never not have said something that you've said ##\dots##

If you are in the European Union, you can demand the deletion but otherwise the account is not yours and deletion is at Greg's option.

Thanks people I'll try that.

Thread 'In the early days of electricity, they didn't have wall plugs'
Hello scientists, engineers, etc. I have not had any questions for you recently, so have not participated here. I was scanning some material and ran across these 2 ads. I had posted them at another forum, and I thought you may be interested in them as well. History is fascinating stuff! Some houses may have had plugs, but many homes just screwed the appliance into the light socket overhead. Does anyone know when electric wall plugs were in widespread use? 1906 ad DDTJRAC Even big...
