Who's in GD not only who's on line. Anyway I think GD was much better in the past. I read some threads of GD 2004 and they were really interesting.

Meaningful and on-topic threads seem to be in decline as of late.

I think you this smilie isn't suitable here, Evo.

First of all, they're not recent threads.
Then, I don't see any important similarity btw them, but perhaps you're right you can say they are somehow similar:
What a boring GD: I said there must be something wrong with me or GD.(try to find the problem)

In GD: Just wanted to know whether I'm the only one who usually reply to threads without reading all the replies or not.:blushing:

PF Pet Peeves: has nothing to do with them. Just wanted to know what others don't like about PF not only GD.

And this one : Try to get the reason of popularity of GD in the past .

Anyway I'd be grateful if you delet this thread. You know in fact I wanted to add a poll to this thread but now I think it wouldn't work. I promise not to start any other similar thread anymore!

Do you want to add a poll? I can add one for you.

You've started some fun threads. I just thought it was funny how many threads you started about GD.

I blame PF's popularity for GD'S demise, back in the day when there was fewer members on the site the threads tended to stay on topic for longer. Whereas now most threads are just a horrible disjointed mess.

In the case of my avatar, would it be appropriate if I told you that I agree wholefartedly?

FAQ: Do you think GD's getting better or worse? Why?

Is there evidence to support the idea that GD (game design) is improving or declining?

There is evidence to support both arguments. On one hand, there are many successful and innovative games being released, with advancements in technology allowing for more immersive and realistic gameplay. On the other hand, there are also a lot of recycled and unoriginal games being produced, leading to a decline in overall creativity and originality in the industry.

What factors contribute to the improvement or decline of GD?

There are various factors that can affect the quality of game design, including advancements in technology, market demand, competition, and the talent and creativity of game developers. Additionally, external factors such as economic conditions and cultural trends can also impact the direction of GD.

Can GD be objectively measured as "better" or "worse"?

It is difficult to objectively measure the quality of game design as it is subjective and based on personal preferences. However, certain metrics such as sales, reviews, and awards can provide an indication of a game's success and impact on the industry.

How does the gaming community's feedback and criticism influence GD?

The gaming community's feedback and criticism can have a significant impact on GD. Game developers often take into account player feedback and use it to improve their games or create new ones. The community's demands and preferences can also shape the direction of the industry as a whole.

Is there a possibility for GD to continue improving in the future?

Yes, there is always room for improvement in any industry, including game design. With advancements in technology and the ever-changing demands of consumers, there is potential for GD to continue evolving and reaching new heights in the future.
