In summary, an Easter dating spreadsheet for Excel/OpenOffice is a tool that uses a formula based on the Gregorian calendar and the rules set by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD to calculate the date of Easter for any given year. It takes into account the date of the spring equinox, the full moon, and the rules set by the Council of Nicaea to accurately determine the date of Easter Sunday. The spreadsheet can be used for any year between 1583 and 4099, but may not be accurate for years beyond 4099 due to potential changes in the rules for determining the date of Easter. To use the spreadsheet, simply enter the desired year and the date of Easter Sunday will be calculated automatically.

Here's a spreadsheet I developed in OpenOffice.org that takes a year and calculates the date of Easter on the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It uses Jean Meeus's algorithm, and works for years 1900-2099.

The spreadsheet is easy to use, I don't even need to tell you how to use it.

Note: I built this in OpenOffice, so I can't guarantee that it will work.

Here's the OpenOffice.org version. It's ZIPped because the .ods file extension is not currently supported by the attachment tool.
