Egg Drop Contest for Science Survivor

In summary, the conversation is about a project where materials are given and must be used to create a device that can safely drop an egg from a high distance. There are costs associated with each material, but glue is unlimited. The goal is to create the cheapest and most effective egg dropper. The conversation also includes a mention of a game called Armadillo Run.

Info coming soon, have to go to lunch.
-----
Materials we are Given:
Raw Egg
2 Full Sheets of Newspaper

You must eb able to take capsule apart during class to insert egg given by teacher.
A portion of an egg must be showing.
Must survive a high drop from 4-5 meters. (NOT! From a football stadium bleachers.)
-----
Items Costs:
Newspaper (Maximum 2 full sheets)
Full $1000
Half $500
Quarter $250

String (Maximum of 2 M or 20 DM)
Per decimeter (1 DM = 0.1M) $100

Rubber Bands (Maximum 2)
Per Rubber Band $500

Paper Clips (Maximum 2)
Per Paper Clip $500

Toothpicks (Maximum 6)
Per Toothpick $100

Glue
Unlimited NO CHARGE!

Now the goal I am trying to achieve is to build the cheapest and most effective egg dropper. (THE GROUP HAVING AN UNCRACKED EGG AND MOST INEXPENSIVE VEHICLE WINS!) I will take a picture of the studim bleachers today after school and upload the picture afterwards. Thanks you guys if you can help! <3

Just buy up all of the newspaper, as this is the only allotted material that can be used to cushion the fall. Then everyone else will be destined to failure

Ever played Armadillo Run? The costs are just a sort of point system. The more cost effective the design the better.

Never played it or even heard of it, but it looks pretty cool. I'll definitely give it a try.Still don't know what the OP is up to though...
