- How did you find PF?
I have been an amateur astronomer for 50 years, and happy that I own above average astro gear. I have an intense interest in light and magnetism, but not the education to understand it. However, this does not prevent me from embracing all that I can. My wife bought a book on radioactivity for me years ago, and from there I bought a Geiger counter and many radioactive things.
This led to a wonderful cloud chamber that uses ice and not dry ice. My heroes are Einstein, Faraday, Newton, Tesla, and many others. In the winter I sit in front of my wood burner stove with my cloud chamber between my wife and I, and two large plasma globes running on either side of us. I sit there and marvel at the world around me. I would love to add a muon detector to this light show. Thank you, Richard Nelson,
