In summary, a career in physics offers a wide range of educational paths, from undergraduate degrees to graduate programs and specialized research opportunities. Students can pursue a bachelor's degree in physics or a related field, followed by a master's or PhD program in a specific area of physics. Additionally, there are alternative paths such as dual degree programs, combined bachelor's/master's programs, and research internships that allow students to gain hands-on experience in the field. With a strong foundation in mathematics and critical thinking skills, students can explore various educational paths to pursue a successful career in physics.

Hello All!
My name's Jon and I started taking an interest in physics more recently about 4 years ago. The roots of my interest though go back to a physics class in my senior year of high school. At the time I would have laughed at the thought of being interested in any mathematical field but as the years have gone on an interest has grown into an idea. I come to this forum as an absolute novice that is seeking insight and guidance on an educational path that could benefit me and what I seek. I don't know precisely what field I want to end up in, but I do know that I want the baseline to be physics.
