Does anyone have a reference or know where I can see the solution to the exploding grenade problem?
What is the COM?marlon said:Is this an application of the dynamics of the COM ?

I don't know. I heard about a problem where inside an explosion (if you can not see the edge of the explosion) then at any point it appears as if everything is moving away from that point. It is was also used to describe how the universe looks like it is expanding no matter when you look from.marlon said:center of mass
I know about divergence and Green's Theorem, etc. I am looking for the specific problem.gregmead said:look up divergance
The exploding grenade problem refers to the issue of safely disposing of unexploded or malfunctioning grenades. These grenades can pose a threat to both people and the environment if not properly handled.
The frequency of the exploding grenade problem varies depending on the context. In war-torn areas, it can be a daily concern, while in civilian settings it may be less common but still a significant issue.
There are several potential causes for grenades to explode unexpectedly. These include manufacturing defects, improper storage or handling, and accidental impacts or tampering.
Military and government agencies have developed protocols for safely disposing of unexploded grenades. These may involve controlled detonations or specialized equipment for dismantling the grenades. There are also ongoing efforts to improve grenade design and safety mechanisms.
Anyone handling grenades should receive proper training and follow strict safety protocols. This includes wearing protective gear, handling grenades with extreme care, and reporting any malfunctions or unexploded grenades to trained professionals. It is also important to never tamper with or attempt to dismantle a grenade yourself.
