Hello all. I'm an electrical engineering student at Oakland University in Auburn Hills Michigan. Currently in Calc based E&M Physics with an elderly instructor who has a very heavy accent. That being said, I think my success in the class will depend on how much I study outside of class, and though help of tutors and all of you. I appreciate any help offered!

That is also true if your instructor is a Nobel prize winner. It's not about what he knows but what you know. If he's not good at teaching, you can try and be a little ahead of the other students so that you can ask helpful questions !

That's very true. I've been reading from the book which has helped me understand the concepts better. Also have been keeping up with all the required and optional homework he assigns, but according to ratemyprofessor.com, his tests are not very similar to the homework:frown:

One other thing: even elderly teachers with accents surf the internet ... you want to be a little careful
