How can I effectively seek help as a self-taught learner on Physics Forums?

I'm new, though I've stalked anonymously for some time.
You best get used to me though, as I'll likely be using this site as my primary real-person-tutor, seeing as I haven't the time to engage in scheduled classes.
Any and all of my learning has and will be independent for now, so if you see my name at the head of a thread - just assume I need help without reading the topic.

Spankye!

Hi BB. Welcome to the Physics Forums. :)

When you post to any thread seeking assistance, we do require that not only have you studied your course notes on the topic, but also that you are following our detailed guides, in particular this one:
https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/guidelines-for-students-and-helpers.686781/

Eagerness to learn must at all times be tempered by a consideration for others.
