How can I measure irradiance for LEDs using a spectrometer?

In summary, using a spectrometer is a common and accurate method for measuring irradiance, or light intensity, for LEDs. This involves placing the spectrometer near the LED source and collecting data on the light emitted. The spectrometer then calculates the irradiance using its built-in software and displays the results in units of watts per square meter. This method allows for precise and reliable measurements of LED light output, making it a useful tool for testing and monitoring LED performance.

Hi, my name is Sergio Borjas. I am a Mechanical Engineer from Boca Raton, FL. I am a physics enthusiast and now particularly interested on Irradiance measurement for LEDs. We have a nice spectrometer that we recently purchased and at present are beginning to use it. Quite an instrument with many uses. If you have any experience in measuring power for LEDs please share them. Thank you for any tips or advise.
