How Do Soil Mechanics and Ethics Shape a P.Eng Journey?

In summary, Soil Mechanics and Ethics is a crucial aspect for students pursuing a career as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). It involves understanding the properties and behavior of soils, as well as the ethical responsibilities and considerations that come with designing and constructing structures on this natural resource. Through their journey to becoming a P.Eng., students must not only develop technical skills but also a strong ethical foundation to ensure the safety and sustainability of their projects. This requires a deep understanding of the impact that soil mechanics has on the environment and society as a whole, and the need to make responsible and ethical decisions in their professional practice.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for having me. I am working towards my P.Eng with only a single Technical exam left in my program. Its on the topic of Soil Mechanics. Once complete I will only be left with the Law & Ethics and I will finally complete my program.

I joined to get a bit of help on a couple of topics that I don't have a lot of background in.

So thanks again for having me!

Welcome to PF Ryan. We're glad to have you. I'm also glad to hear that students are taught law and ethics.
