How Does a Mechanical Draftsman Contribute to Piping Design?

I just registered, so thought I should take the time to introduce myself.

My names James, I am currently an undergrad studying Natural Sciences through the Open University. My interests are in Physics and Chemistry. I am currently working as a Mechanical Draftsman in a piping design house.
