How does geology shape our understanding of the world?

In summary, geology plays a crucial role in shaping our understanding of the world by studying the physical structure, composition, and processes of the Earth. It helps us understand the formation of landforms, natural resources, and the evolution of life on our planet. By examining rocks, fossils, and other geological features, we can gain insights into past climates, sea level changes, and even predict future natural disasters. Geology also contributes to fields such as engineering, environmental science, and energy exploration, making it an essential discipline in our modern world.

My second introductory post because we are always learning, right?

I am 35 years old with an Associates degrees in: History, Arts & Humanities.

I study people and our interactions across the ages and in the present.

One of my scientific passions is Geology and Geophysics. Plate tectonics and the elements that create the rocks and minerals. The physical transformation on rocks and minerals with the presence of heat and pressure. So fascinating. I could talk about geology and how science interacts with the world around us.
