How does returning to university after a long break impact older students?

In summary, returning to university after a long break can have both positive and negative impacts on older students. On one hand, they may feel more prepared and motivated to learn, with a clearer sense of their goals and priorities. However, they may also face challenges such as adjusting to new technology and study methods, balancing their studies with other responsibilities, and feeling out of place among younger classmates. Overall, returning to university after a long break can be a rewarding experience for older students, but it requires determination and adaptation to overcome potential obstacles.

Hello! I just started at university after being out of school for about ~8 years. I was working for local businesses in my area (nothing too exciting) as a waiter and other various jobs.

Just getting back into study is a little daunting after being away from formal education for so long especially with everyone being so young! Or at least relative to my age (26).

I hope to learn lots!

Thank you for reading!
