How Effective is the Tsokos Textbook for AP Physics 1 Beginners?

Hi, I'm Chris and I'm taking AP Physics 1 and that just so happens to be my first physics class as well. My teacher isn't that good and all of his classes struggle but I'm self teaching and managing. I hope to do well and get info.

WHat book are you using? I found one recently by Tsokos that is pretty good at laying out concepts called Physics for the IB Diploma.
