How did you find PF?
Google.
Hi everyone. Not a science or math major or currently in school. However I've been having a debate about how far we could kick objects of varying weights. Now without actually tempting the kicks on dumbells or anything that would harm us I came to try to help find an equation that would help. Sorry to intrude on any actual intellectual conversations.

Welcome to PF.

Sounds like that kind of question would fit best in the Classical Physics or Mechanical Engineering forum.

Is it okay to post the same question in both forums or should I wait after posting it in one?

No, only post in one. Cross-posting is against the PF rules (see INFO at the top of the page). Thanks for asking.

BTW, when you post your question it's best to include links to your reading that you've been doing and ask questions about that reading. In some of the technical forums (like the Classical Physics forum) the thread title will include a "prefix" that you can set to B/I/A for Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced for the level that you would like the replies to be. I is undergraduate university level, and A is graduate school level and above.
